# Time & space arbitrages

There is time arbitrage in:
- Doing with agents, what everyone is doing by hand
- Doing by hand, what everyone is doing with agents
The agent’s quality and degree of care is what’s mostly mispriced — under or over — by the people using, or not using these things.
I’ve never found it higher leverage than now to actually write your own tech specs (while it’s easier than ever to get a high-quality one from an agent!). You’ll write the one that anyone will bother to read, whose agents and prompts will be pulled into the gravitational orbit of what you think the right way of doing things is.
I’ve never found it higher leverage than now to product things with AI that you’d laugh at attempting a year ago.

There is space arbitrage in writing:
- for an external audience, with an internal audience in mind
- for an internal audience, with an external audience in mind
(Especially as of starting writing again, and after years of compulsive tweeting & internet-friend-making, I’ve found that).
[[2025 Year in Review#^4092ab|Writing for your coworkers]] without it being explicitly a work thing, is a Gen-Z remote work sort of way to get a beer with them and tell them how you really feel, gain currency on low-ego conceptual merits, without doing it in Slack, with your identity and the career ladder you’re carrying with you, and ruining everything.
Writing for an external audience, with a degree of hallucinated background & hyper-specific interest in the stuff you work on — is a great way to write about what you work on in a way that, isn’t just a marketing pitch, nor priced-in cliche to them — ie. genuine alpha.
What’s my point with all of this? I don’t know, but these are things I’ve been noticing more.
